As a fast-growing sporting activity, skateboarding has been extended to all terrain. Over the past years, changes in technology have made electric skateboards grow in popularity no matter the landscape.

Propelled by an electric motor, the power in electric skateboards is controlled using an RF remote. Just as a regular skateboard, these powerful devices are steered by riders shifting their weight. And while their main function was previously just local transport, off-roading models have made these great for fun and thrill. Off-roading skateboards can take on grass, gravel and even hard sand.

Electric skateboards can be divided into three main categories: classic skateboard, off-road skateboard and travel skateboard.

The classic on-road electric skateboards are perhaps the most common and familiar skateboard models available in the market. They can be easily found on city streets, recreational parks and are meant for casual use.
They are commonly used on concrete roads and usually do not perform well on grass or gravel roads.
